Profhilo Treatment

What is Profhilo treatment?

Profhilo consists of a very high level of Hyaluronic Acid (naturally found in our bodies responsible for maintaining moisture within our skin), which aids the production of collagen and elastin within the skin. Different from a filler, Profhilo subtly acts as a hydrator and therefore boosts, hydrates and energises the texture and elasticity of the skin thus improving the overall quality whilst smoothing fine lines and wrinkles too.

What does the treatment consist of?

Profhilo is injected using a small needle directly under the surface of the skin in five strategic points from the upper cheekbone to the jawline. Profhilo can also be used on the neck, decollete and hands as well as arms and knees (to reduce crepe-like skin and sagginess).

Results

The results are very effective. Treatment consists of 2 sessions with results developing after 8 weeks and lasting up to 1 year. The skin will appear luminous, hydrated, firm and volumized. This is a very popular treatment and an especially recommended treatment if you are looking to avoid any artificial chemicals or additives with a natural looking result.

Are there any side effects?

• You will experience small lumps (similar to bee sting size) at the injection site which will reduce within 6 hours of treatment
• Swelling and mild bruising is uncommon, but may happen. If so, this will subside within 72 hours
• You may have slight redness post treatment and the area may be tender to touch, but this will also subside within 72 hours, if not sooner.
